Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Renault has introduced a new single-deck intercity integral coach called the Tracer, which is expected to be made available in right-hand drive form.

The 12m coach was launched in France last week to replace the 44-year-old S53, which was never sold into the UK. However, Renault is hoping to tap into the UK with the £85,000 Tracer.

Its steel-framed body has room for 57 seated and 28 standing passengers, with 6m3 of locker space. All of the seats are platform mounted to separate the seated passengers from those standing on the flat aisle.

The body panels have been bonded wherever possible, to avoid any distortion to the panels caused by welding.

The Tracer is powered by an MIHS 06.20.45 engine which puts 186kW (253hp) through a six-speed G406ET gearbox.

Initially Renault will concentrate on selling the Tracer on the Continent: it plans to sell up to 800 a year in France alone. In time it hopes to compete in the Australian market.
