CM understands that the lame Office is unhappy with the Lurrent drafting of the County's rivate Bill, largely because the ncept of likely damage is so ague as to be impossible to en

It appears also that the Govnment would prefer to introce national legislation for ch an issue, as Cumbria is rdly likely to be the only part Britain in which such a probm is encountered, If the Bill is amended, it is lily that it would make it an ofce not to take reasonable ecautions to prevent pavent damage, when unloading ch goods as beer kegs from a ry.
