FURTHER confusion lies ahea in the apparent trial of strengt between Strathclyde PTE an the Scottish Bus Group.
Following the granting c cross-Glasgow licences to SB (CM, June 20). The PTE hi applied to the Scottish Traff Commissioners to extend sorr of its city services into Ea Ku bride, Clarkston, an Clydebank in competition wi SBG.
If these plans are granted ne month, they could lead to pril competition between the tv publicly owned undertakinc and push the PTE into tl ludicrous position of providii cut-price bus competition i suburban rail services which subsidises as part of allegedly co-ordinated pub transport system.
