Scotland

A9: Temporary traffic signals are in use at the northern end of Auchterarder, and at Killecrankie.

A77: A 12 tons axle limit and 50 ton gross vehicle weight limit applies at the Water of Girvan bridge until December 31.

A77: Resurfacing of the Ayr by-pass continues until the end of this month.

A85: There are temporary traffic signals in use between the A9 and Crieff road.

Northern England

Al(M): Contraflow traffic will be in operation until mid-November on a 5.6-mile section from north of the Blind Lane interchange (A167 Chester-le-Street) to south of the Carrville interchange. Ml: There are various lane restrictions for vehicles over 30cwt between juntion 29 (Chesterfield) and 30 (Worksop).

M6: There is southbound carriageway resurfacing between junctions 28 (Leyland) and 29 (Preston) until July. An alternative route is via A6 and A49 to junction 28.

M6: Both carriageways will be resurfaced for three and a half miles north of junctions 35 (Carnforth). Contraflow arrangements will be in use until the end of June.

M6: Major roadworks and resurfacing is taking place between junctions 18 (Middlewich) and 19 (Manchester Airport). All traffic is sharing one carriageway, and delays are possible at times.

M63: In Greater Manchester, there is heavy plant and lorry movement around junction 11 at Cheadle.

Midlands

Al: The Foston by-pass in Lincolnshire will have its northbound carriageway closed until late -June.

A45: There will be single-lane, alternate-way working at Fiore, Northamptonshire (between M1 junction 16 and the AS at Weedon) until the end of August. Delays are expected at all times.

Ml: Until early October there will be continuous 24-hour two-way traffic on one carriageway from junction 16 (Northampton West) for four miles towards Watford Gap.

A47: Queues occur frequently at Guyhirn, Cambridge, between 1King's Lynn and Peterborough, at peak times.

A625: There are diversions in operation due to the closure of the Mam Tor road, in Derbyshire. MI : Various lane closures apply between junctions 15 (A Northampton) and 17 (M45, Coventry South) between now November. Extra care is needed on both carriageways.

M6: Until August, all traffic is sharing one carriageway betw junction 1 (Rugby) and junction 2 (M69 Coventry).

M6: Two-way traffic shares one carriageway between junctior (A461, Wednesbury) and 11 (A460, Cannock/Wolverhampton). Ji tion 10 (Walsall) is completely closed, as is northbound entry exit at junction 9. Also, southbound entry to junction 11 is clo between 7am and 9.30am on Monday to Friday.

South-east England

A3: There are extensive road improvement works south of Gu ford between the Wooden Bridge and the Cathedral turn-off u mid-August. Delays and serious congestion are expected.

A205: Long delays occur at peak times at the junction Westhorne Avenue (part of the South Circular Road) and the A Sidcup road, in South-east London.

A247: Until late July, serious delays will occur at rush hours at junction between Send Road and Potters Lane in Woking. This i well-used link road for traffic joining the A3 to Guildford or Lando' A308: Repairs on Windsor Road, Bray cause delays at peak tim Drivers leaving the M4 for all parts of Windsor should use junctio (A355 Slough/A332 Windsor).

Ml: Overnight on Monday to Friday, there is only one lane or southbound between junction 8 (Hemel Hempstead) and 7 (IV intersection).

M2: Between junctions 1 (A2) and 3 (A229 Maidstone road), oi one lane is open on each carriageway. There is no access or exit junction 2 (A228 Rochester road), but diversions are signposted.

M20: All traffic shares one carriageway at West Kingsdown.

Wimbledon: During the tennis championships (until July 4), the will be waiting restrictions in many streets from 8.30am until 9pi Parts of Church Road and Somerset Road will be one-way fro north to south, and Marryat Road from south to north. Throw traffic should avoid the area.

Wales and the West

A40: There is only one lane open at times between Abergaveni and Raglan, in Gwent.

M5: There are numerous roadworks and lane closures from jun tion 14 north of Bristol to the end of the motorway. Delays al possible if traffic is heavy.

Due to partial structural collapse of the Boars Head Inn at Chesti Street, Mold, a temporary one-way system has been introduced i Mold Town Centre for an indefinite period. Through traffic shoul avoid the area.
