by CM reporter A SPECIAL cab for use or runs to the Middle East anc for TIR work has been designed by Ailsa Trucks Ltd. It will be shown for the first time when Ailsa (London) Ltd opens its TIR service centre at Chingford on August 19.
Ailsa says that the cab in corporates many of the features recommended by lain Sherriff after his trip to the Middle East in April. Mr J. A. Dennis, Ailsa's marketing manager, says that the cab is being produced as a result of CM's initiative in making the journey.
After that trip CM's deputy editor discussed cab layouts with the National Freight Corporation and his information, together with the Corporation's own research, led to the evolution of a Middle East cab specification (CM, May 16).
