MR. R. G. SARAIYA, chairman of the Bombay State Road Transport Corporation, visited the Peterborough works of

F. , Perkins, Ltd., last week. The corporation are the largest operators of Perkins P6 engines in the world, except for British Railways.

MR. ALLAN C. COOPER, general sales manager of E.T.D., Ltd., has been elected president of the British Industrial Truck Association. He succeeds the late M. JOHN MORRIS. Mr. Cooper has also been appointed to the British national com

mittee of the Federation Europecnne de la Manutention.

MR. E. HAmpsinan, technical superintendent, spring manufacture, has been appointed production controller of Samuel Fox and Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the United Steel Companies, Ltd. He succeeds. MR. D. A. HOPKINS, who joins United Steel's department of operational research and cybernetics.

MR, H. G. LUTEMAN, formerly assistant to the financial director of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Great Britain), Ltd., has been appointed manager of the newly formed general merchandise and materials control division. MR. R.E. Girms, chief purchasing agent, becomes assistant manager of the division.
