Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Snap-On Sun Tech Systems of Kettering offers a range of carbon cleaning equipment that connects to either petrol or diesel engines and cleans the areas that matter the most— notably pistons, rings, valves and injectors as well as the combustion chambers.

The units, tagged CCS 2500 for spark ignition engines and CCS 1500 for diesel units, link with the engines using OEM-specific adaptors and temporarily take the place of the normal fuel supply They are designed to softened carbon, gum and varnishes, which then pass harmlessly out of the exhaust.

With the IC engine off, a detergent passed over fuel system parts removes deposits within the air plenum, fuel rail, injector screens and pressure regulator areas; contaminants are filtered out.

On idle, the solution passes through the injectors or the carburettor and so into the combustion chamber.

In a running diesel engine the CCS1500

passes a cleaner-cum

diesel mix through the fuel system. removing both organic and inorganic fuel deposits from the injectors, injection pump and combustion chambers.

By avoiding the use of dangerous solvents, Snap-On's new units are said to provide a safe and costeffective means of reducing emissions and improving performance at the same time.
