• The CV section of the ADF (Automotive Distribution Federation) has a new brake shoe re-lining programme which is designed to boost the confidence and security of truck operators (see next week's Sound Off).
The Brake Assured scheme is backed by road safety campaign group Brake as well as firms such as Don, P&P Sergeant, Pagid and Roadlink International. Brake Assured will create a network of approved shoe relining specialists, all committed to the most stringent working procedures.
Two pilot companies already signed up are Hydrai Truck & Trailer Parts and Roadlink International.
