Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Charles Young • Renault is giving a "strong indication" of how its replacement for the Extra van will look by unveiling its Pangea concept vehicle at next month's Geneva Motor Show. The van itself is due to be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in August and will go on sale some time next year. Judging from these pictures it should be in direct competition with the Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Partner.

The van is likely to use the turbo and naturally aspirated 1.9-litre diesel engines from the Clio and Megane range of cars. They develop 95hp (71kW) and 65hp (48kW) respectively. Many of the access panels will be found on the production model. The twin rear doors are split asymmetrically and there are a number of exterior hatches to accommodate additional equipment.

Designed for environmental research, the Pangea features a hybrid combustionielectrical powertrain coupled to fourwheel drive. An intergrated trailer carries an LPG turbine and fuel reserves.

A range of observation and multimedia equipment has been fitted as well as satellite navigational aids. Information can be fed into a computer via a "voice pen"; a video camera can perform 360° scans of the environment and provides a rear view on an LCD screen which replaces the rearview mirror.
