Jomponents hold-ups big survey
SLIGHT increase in business is cturers, but production in some int shortages.
A vast amount of destocking is been carried out over the 1st two years with the result iat hold-ups are occurring hen certain suppliers are un able to gear up their production.
According to Seddon Atkinson, for example, the engine manufacturers have been best at anticipating the increase in busi ness. Most of the problems have occurred with a "Multiplicity of little bits and pieces."
Other vehicle manufacturers are reporting similar difficulties with some components taking longer to obtain — for example, pro pshafts and bracketry.
