Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEW BUS deliveries are being treated as a matter of urgency by Leyland Bus, following the resumption of normal work at its Lancashire factory.

A company spokesman said this week that it is endeavouring to get as many vehicles as possible to coachbuilders in time to meet the March 31 deadline for the current rate of new bus grant.

He said that in cases where they were being supplied under fixed price contracts, penalty clauses would apply, but this would not affect every bus.

Leyland may also have lost some coach business for next season, he added, where coaches have missed their slot at coachbuilders, but the spokesman said that this was not so serious a problem as the new bus grant delay.
