Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• To comply with the proposed UK regulations on dipped headlights, which come into effect in April next year, Seddon Atkinson is starting to fit dim-dip headlight units to its vehicles.

The dim-dip control units, produced for Seddon Atkinson by Thomas Electronics, are already being fitted on all 2-11 models and will shortly be fitted on 3-11 and 4-11 trucks.

The controllers give the vehicles an automatic 10% of headlamp luminous intensity when the sidelights are used. The Thomas unit ensures a constant light output irrespective of battery condition.

Seddon Atkinson will also be offering dim-dip retrofit kits for those operators who wish to fit them.
