Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• HRP has introduced the Vulkan Lokring which is said to be a revolutionary jointing system, replacing the need for brazing and welding when joining

copper pipes. The system establishes a hermetic seal using compression only. The elasticity of the metal against the internal diameter of the Lokring achieves the joint without the need for heat or threaded connections.

An aerobic sealant, Lokprep, is used to seal longitudinal scratches in tubing. Long-term testing has indicated the Lokring is up to 10 times more reliable than a welded or brazed connection.
