• Two ERF E6.21 4x2 rigids have been built to 14-tonne specification for Alcoa, saving £.650 a year in road tax. Because they are used to carry light aluminium extrusions they are never loaded to the E6's 17tonne GVW potential.
CIAlcoa has added a 19.5x8.25 forged aluminium wheel to its range to meet the demands of continental semi-trailer and drawbar operators.
With 10 or 8-stud mountings each wheel weighs 18.7kg — half the weight of a comparable steel wheel — and is load rated at 3,150kg.
