• Andover Trailers and Czech engineering firm Transporta are to sign a £2,5m partnership deal.
Transporta, formerly the Eastern bloc's largest tank transporter manufacturer, will build and market ATL trailers under licence and will sell the firm's Powersteer models to haulage operators in Eastern Europe.
The deal sets the seal on ATL's two-year search for opportunities in Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland, but it is still looking for sales agents and distributors in France and Germany.
