Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY for diesel engines, Graham & White has introduced what it describes as a low-cost tachometer.

Completely portable, the tachometer — model M540 — is specifically designed for the speed measurement of diesel engines, but can be used for general workshop application.

Battery operated and the size of a calculator, the instrument is press-button operated and can be used up to lm (391n) away from a rotating shaft. A beam of light is projected on to the rotating surface, and reflected light pulses, from a strip of suitable tape, are accepted by the instrument, converted, and displayed as a meter reading. The moving coil meter display is scaled 0-1,200 and 0-6,000rpm.

The price of the M540 tachometer complete is £79.00, excluding carriage and vat. Graham & White Instruments, 135 Hatfield Road, St Albans, Harts, AL1 4LZ.
