NEW MIDIBUS service perated by United Counties behalf of Bedfordshire :ounty Council is to start next lonth in the Leighton Buzard and Lins lade area.
Five different routes will be perated in a two-hour cycle rom residential estates in and round the town where the oads are unsuitable for full sized vehicles. Two Ford-Tricentrol 23-seat buses have been bought specially for the service.
"It's a six-month experiment," a Bedfordshire spokesman told CM, "United Counties will take the revenue and we will make up any shortfall should this not cover the cost of operation."
