THE COMMERCIAL MOTOR stand is buzzing with operators queuing up for free health checks and visiting our team of transport lawyers for free consultations.
The Commercial Motor Health Challenge is in full swing, with health checks offered in conjunction with Shell Lubricants. Our health team, comprising a nurse, a British Lung Foundation specialist and a fitness expert, are assessing weight, glucose and cholesterol levels, lung function and posture. In the CM legal clinic. solicitors Tim Ridyard and Murray Oliver of Barker Gotelee are facing a barrage of questions about digital tachographs. -This is the third year we've held the CM legal clinic and sessions tend to be based around the big question of the day,says Ridyard. -Right now that's digital tachos, so we've brought all of our training tools to show people exactly how it will work.
"Murray has a very practical knowledge of transport law because he has his HGV and PSV licences,Ridyard adds. -If anything comes up that we don't have the detailed knowledge for here, we have other specialists at the end of the phone to make sure visitors walk away with what they need."
