OAF SALES AND marketing boss Kerry McDonagh warns that the UK truck industry is being distracted from the real issues in the debate raging around EGR vs SCR.
McDonagh says operators should focus on reliability, operating costs and customer service not on whether one technical solution is better than another.
Most operators are more concerned about digital tachographs and the price of fuel than the difference between EGR and SCR."
When it comes to Euro-4, McDonagh believes operators just want a solution that works: "There has been a lot of talk about the potential problems of filling up with AdBlue, but the range is so long it really doesn't matter. We don't get excited about filling up the washer bottleis this any different?"
