inspecting the trucks, Truckfest isn't just about commercial vehicles. It's about fun, too—for all the family. A host of celebrities will be dropping in to the show, courtesy of the Daf celebrity helicopter, including Jim Davidson and John Virgo, Craig Fairbrass (Dan) and Tamsin Outhwaite (Melanie) from Fastenders, Ricky Tomlinson (Jim Royle from The Royle Family), and Tim Vincent (Adam) and Sherree Murphy (Tricia) from Emmerdalel. There will also be a non-stop programme of events around the show. Apart from ferrying celebrities in and out of the showground, for instance, Daf's 'Rise Above the Crowds" theme is extended with two more helicopters, one of which will be conducting pleasure flights above the showground. Tickets can be purchased from Aeromega, just south of the grandstand.
If you prefer flight of a different kind, Iveco Ford Truck will be sponsoring a hot air ballon (weather permitting). And for those who prefer just to watch, the St Ivel Shape skydiving team will be dropping in on the action on both show days!
Events in the main arena will include a Customs 8,, Excise display of drug detection in vehicles using sniffer dogs: vehicle recovery and road closure demonstrations; a daring display of skill from the Royal Artillery motorcycle display team, The Flying Gunners; and a hefty bout of havoc wreaked by the Monster Truck, sponsored jointly by Michelin and Mercedes-Benz.
