The licence held by Airdrie

based Leo! forte, trading as PM Logistics, was suspended until the company appears before the Scottish Deputy Traffic Commissioner Richard McFarlane after it failed to attend an Edinburgh disciplinary inquiry.

The company, which is based on the Brownsbum Industrial Estate with a licence authorising 10 vehicles and 15 trailers, had been called before the Deputy TC on the grounds of a failure to fulfil undertakings given when the licence was granted, and concern as to whether it still met the requirements to be of good repute and financial standing.

The Deputy TC said he had a report from the Vehicle Inspectorate that the company had been using a vehicle when it had no authority to do so.

Suspending the licence with immediate effect, the Deputy TC said it was until managing director John McWilliams appeared before him at a rescheduled inquiry when McWilliams would be given the chance to persuade him not to revoke the company's licence and disqualify both the company and McWilliams from holding or obtaining an 0-licence.
