Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DESPITE disappointingly few entries the Semaine Internationale du Tourisme en Autocar managed to live up to its international title with coaches from France, West Germany, the Netherlands, Britain, Spain, Sweden and Yugoslavia on display.

The French organised event was held at Barcelona for the first time and included a crossborder road section starting in the historic French town of Nimes and a concours competition and display of coaches.

No driving or technical tests were organised this year.

No British coaches were entered in the road section, but were included in all classes in the concours sections.

Leyland Bus entered a Royal Tiger demonstrator and a Two's Company vehicle, and Premier Travel of Cambridge entered its 11CW Metro Hi-liner. Two West German Setra vehicles entered by a past winner at Nice, Gross of Heilbron, tied for first place in the road section.

In the safety feature section of the concours competition the Royal Tiger was commended for its driving compartment and the demonstration vehicle was placed fifth.

The winner in this section was a Swedish registered Scania K112 fitted with a new style of Finnish-built Ajokki Royal body (pictured below).

A full report will appear in colour in a future issue of CM.
