Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MERCEDES-BENZ plans to launch a right-hand drive 3025K eightwheeler tipper chassis in Britain by the end of the year, probably in time for the Scottish Motor Show in November.

It will be powered by the 184kW(247hp) naturally-aspirated, 14.6 litre, 0M422, V8 engine, which is used in the 1625S tractive unit, coupled with a ZF eight-speed range change gearbox.

The new models will be based on an existing Mercedes 22 tonne gvw 6x4 chassis but modified at the Swiss specialist vehicle division Nutzfahrzeug Arbon Wetzikon (NAW) which already converts right-hand drive 1633 tractive units into the twin-steer 2033 for Britain.

Recent revisions to the West German vehicle licensing regulations, which permit four-axle rigids to operate at 30 tonnes gvw, have created a resurgence of interest in eight-wheelers in Mercedes' home market. It is understood that this has caused any M-B UK eight-wheeler launch to be put back to the end of the year.

Mercedes first introduced an 8x4 chassis into Switzerland in 1983 following its acquisition of a 40 per cent holding in Saurer, the Swiss specialist vehicle builder and a 49 per cent share in FBW, which together make up the NAW company.

It will be the first time that Mercedes has offered a fouraxle rigid in Britain.

Mercedes recently showed its full left-hand-drive eightwheeler range of six basic models available with a choice of four engines from 184kW(247hp) to 26kW(355hp) at the Hanover Trade Fair.
