REPRESENTATIVES of a numbet of local authorities in the north who recently unsuccessfully opposed an application for higher fares made by United Automobile Services, Ltd. (The Coiwnerciul Motor, April 6) have decided to appeal against the Northern Licensing Authority's decision.

The application was opposed by 33 councils on the ground that the company's financial position was strong enough to absorb increased costs. .
