THROUGH WORKING TO CONTINUE

THE through-running agreement that Grimsby has with Cleethorpes, and which Grimsby proposed to end on April 30, is to be renewed for a further three months. This was decided by a special meeting of the Grimsby representatives on the Grimsby and Cleethorpes joint committee appointed to discuss the possible amalgamation of the two undertakings.

The meeting also decided to urge further joint discussion with Cleethorpes as early as possible. "The Grimsby representatives," said a spokesman, "are most anxious that this amalgamation should go through, and want to remove what appears to be a feeling of mistrust on the part of Cleethorpes that Grimsby is trying to get something for nothing" (The Commercial Motor, April 13).

A UTHORITY to run all-night express rA bus services through the Mersey Tunnel between Liverpool and Birkenhead has been granted to the municipal transport undertakings of the two towns by the North Western Licensing Authority.
