Installations in Used and New Chassis Carried Out at Engine Maker's Officially Appointed Depot Controlled by Nash Concessionaires, Ltd.

PR1M ARMY for the convenience of operators, an arrangement has been made between Nash Concessionaires, Ltd., Nash Street, Albany kitreet, London, N.W.1, and F. Perkins, Ltd., Peterborough, whereby all conversions of commercial vehicles to oilers by the installation of Perkins oil engines, will be effected at the works of the former company. Subsequent service will also be given from this depot.

The appointment of the Nash concern as Perkins converter applies for the whole of the British Isles, except where Perkins official distributors have their own arrangements. The Nash establishment is well equipped for this work and is now under the control of Mr. J. A. Ottewill, who has specialized in all classes of automobile repair work for some 14 years.

Besides the convenience of their situation, the premises are spacious and contain an adequate range of machines, welding apparatus and the rest, notably British Oxygen welding and cutting tackle, lathes, grinders, vertical and portable drills, Black and Decker valve refacers, etc. There is also an exceptionally good range of hand tools, cylinder gauges, wheel aligners, axle gauges, micrometers, pipe benders for injection tubes and fuel lines, hydraulic wheel pullers, presses and so forth.

All of these may not strike the reader as being necessary for engine installation, but we make reference to them becausethey are indicative of the type of workmanship associated with the company.

List week, when we visited the works,, we found a number of vehicles in process of having conversions effected; for example, there were two Morris-Commercial lorries, two new Dennis chassis and a Darracq car. Recently completed, three Bedfords and a Dodge may be added to the list of machines for which the new depot is responsible. They have come from various parts of England—Bristol, Bradford, Cambridgeshire and London.
