T see that the European 1Commission is planning to introduce computer tachos within two years (CM 19-25 Sept). Is it too much to hope that (1) they will keep to this timetable and (2) that anything they do decide will be clear, simple and not prohibitively expensive. It always seems to me that the Commission is fond of setting strict rules for everybody else while being easy on its own administrators and so-called experts. Most of the time what they produce is unsuitable, costly and LATE Imagine what would happen if hauliers conducted their business like this.
