Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A KiDDERMINSTER-BASED truck driver has been cleared after being held in a French prison for three days following the discovery of a substantial amount of drugs in his trailer,

Ken Hathaway's truck was stopped in France by Customs officers who found 388kg of Moroccan cannabis hidden in his trailer within two pallets of ceramic tiles. A French court ruled that he be released after accepting that Hathaway was unaware of the load he was transporting.

While in custody, Hathaway was told by French police that he may be facing 10 years in prison and that he was not allowed to call home. This prompted a brief missing persons search by UK police, who were unaware of his questioning in France.

Hathaway says: It is the most frightening thing that has ever happened to me. After a week off I'll be back on international duty, though I don't know how I will feel the next time I drive through France."

The truck had picked up the load from a regular collection point in Alicante, Spain, and was on its way to a warehouse in Heathrow. Both pallets were wrapped in plastic and there was no way of identifying the load without removing the plastic.
