The North London magistrate made this comment, last week, when Stanley Joy, a lorry driver employed by the RUE., was summoned for driving a vehicle with defective brakes. He pleaded guilty and was fined 30s. The R.H.E. was also summoned, but no representative appeared in court. The charge was carried on until November 1.

Ltd., Tees-side Railless Traction Board. and the municipal transport departments of Ashton-under-Lyne, Blackpool. Huddersfield, Manchester, Oldham and Wallasey.
