MR. J. WRIGHT, A.F.R.Ae.S., general_ manager of the Dunlop Rim and Wheel . Works, Foleshill Coventry, has been appointed a director on the local board at Fort Dunlop.
MR. A. W. WRIGHT, director and secretary of the Champion Sparking Plug Co., Ltd., has been appointed managing director of the company, Whilst MR. H. G. STARLEY and'Ma. T. GORST have been elected to the Board.
MR, W. H. STOKES, Coventry Divisional Organizer of the Amalgamated Engineering Union, has been appointed to fill the vacancy in the chairmanship of the Midland Regional Board of Industry. He has acted as vice-chairman of the Board since 1942.
MR. MORRIS EMANUEL, sales manager, MR, THOMAS R. WEBB, works foreman, and MRS. L. KENINGALE, secretary, were recently made presentations by the directors of Hornerton Rubber Works, Ltd., Alpertort Lane, Wembley, Middlesex, in appreciation of many years' service with the company. Mr. Emanuel's record is 31 years and Mr. Webb's 25 years.
MR. G. W. LACEY, B.Sc., A.R.I.C., has been appointed general sales manager of the British Aluminium Co., Ltd., upon relinquishing his post of Controller of Light Metals in the
Ministry of Aircraft Production He will be responsible for the sales division of the company, which has four 'principal departments—sales, sales planning, development and publicity. MR. G. A. ANDERSON, B.A., who recently relinquished his appointment as
Deputy Controller ot Light Metals-, has rejoined the company as deputy general
sales manager.
MR. H. E. PRICE, equipment sales manager of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., at Fort Dunlop, has joined the Board of the Dunlop Rim and Wheel Co., Ltd. Foleshill, Coventry. He was with the Coastal Marine Motor Co. for three years and the Wolseley Motor Co. for five years before going to the Dunlop concern in 1926.
MR. P. A. STONER, who, during the war, has been manager of the Tank Tyre Department of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has been appointed sales engineer of the equipment division, and will deal with goods and passenger chassis business. He joined the company in 1928, and since -1929 has been closely connected with developments on commercial-vehicle wheels and tyres.
LIEUT.-CoL. A. GRAHAM WOODS, D.S.O., M.G., of R.E.M.E., has taken up his appointment as Assistant Director of Mechanical Engineering, West Scotland district. He was responsible for the waterproofing of 5,000 vehicles of the assault force for the Normandy landings, together with a big reserve force of Tanks _and vehicles.
MR. W. .M. DRAVERS has been appointed manager of Sheffield United Tours, Ltd., a B.E.T. associate concern, in the place of Mr. T. 'N. Hancock, who, with his brother, Mr. M. Hancock, has resigned for domestic
reasons. Mr.Dravers was with Hebble Motor Services, Ltd.—another B.E.T. company—from 1933 until September, 1939, when he joined the Army He attained the rank of major, saw service overseas and returned to civilian life a
few weeks ago. a
MR. G. °A. FAIRWEATHER, on his return from service in. the Forces, has been appointed manager of the London branch of Tyresoles, Ltd. Ile rose to the rank of Lieut.-Col. and commanded No. 1 TYre Reconditioning Unit in the Middle East. He was largely responsible for the successful work done in reconditioning and keeping on the road essential tyres -required for the fighting forces and supply services in the Middle East theatres of war.

went to France in September, 1939, remaining as O.C. of a base workshop until the evacuation in June, 1940. Then he was attached to the Aldershot Command Workshops in charge of engine assemblies and repairs, and later transferred to Chilwell Depot Workshops, where hespent over four years and eventually became Deputy Chief Electrical and Mechanical Engineer.. Another well-known C.A.V. factory representative to return is Majoa A, C. S, RAWLINSON, R.A.O.C., who has served in the Middle East and Syrian Campaigns of 1941 and 1942. While 'acting as O.C. 3rd Ordnance Field Park, he was made prisoner at Tobnik, being released from a German camp in April of this year.
