• Charles Roberts Engineering of Wakefield has just completed 14 mild steel, 12,400-18,400litre multi-compartment tank units for Charringtons Fuels.

They are mounted on Leyland Daf FA60-180 and FAT80-260 4x2 and 6x2 rigid chassis; the tanks are fitted with metering/hose reel delivery equipment for industrial and domestic distribution of products ranging from petrol to paraffin. Some have Emco Wheaton bottom loading/vapour recovery equipment and Alpeco DMX pumping systems.

Three 34,000-litre five-compartment tanker semi-trailers will operate behind ERF tractive units. The remainder of the total order for 23 vehicles comprises 23 used tanks remounted on Leyland Daf rigid chassis.
