Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE LUBE LINER sold by Industrial Mechanised Products of Tunbridge Wells, Kent through local distributors eliminates the problems and costs of fifth wheel lubrication.

The liner, an 813mm (32in) diameter disc of polyurethane, was developed by Shell in America and is in use by both Shell and BP in the UK and major airports, where it has been tested for four years.

Apart from saving the cost of grease and servicing time, the Lube Liner is said to eliminate scoring of tractor and trailer fifth wheel plates.

Originally launched six years ago in the USA, primarily for installation where trailer detachment is only occasional, it has had a 250,000 mile life in some vehicles.

Priced at about £50, IMP says that the Lube Liner can be adapted to accommodate frequent trailer change situation as well.
