WARNINGS of high increases in ferry charges has been issued to international road hauliers by the Road Haulage Association. The increases, of between 11 and 25 per cent, will take effect from January 1 next year.
The companies are also having to levy a currency surcharge which will amount to 20 per cent when, for example, the exchange rate of Dutch florins reaches 4.112 to £1.
