• The turnover of the SELNEC PTE parcels service operated in the Greater Manchester area is proving so lucrative that in order to expand its operations, a non-limited company is to be formed with a board of directors on the same basis as the bus companies now operating within the SELNEC framework.
Turnover figures for the past three years show; 1969, £322,000: 1970. £405,0001 1971. £472,000. The operation, which is showing an encouraging surplus, and which is expected to reach the £500,000 mark in 1971/72, owes the greater part of its expansion to an increase in mail order business throughout the area.
