Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

REGARDING THE comments about speed cameras by Dave Hammond (CM 5 May), yes they do generate revenue and yes, they are there to create a safe environment. He also states his drivers are good and professional, but! would have to disagree. If he has to break the news on a regular basis that his drivers are speeding. I don't think they are good and professional drivers.

He needs to look at why they are getting speeding tickets and what he can do as an employer to eradicate the issue. have two basic rules: know the road you are on and the class of vehicle you are driving— and then you don't make yourself a target for revenue raising.

They can put as many speed cameras on the roads as they please, but a bit of common sense and duty of care to all road users and you will never be caught on camera. And yes, lam a professional HGV driver.
