Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ROBERT WISEMAN Dairies might close more distribution depots in Scotland as part of a review of its depot structure following the loss of two major supply contracts this year.

A spokesperson for the Glasgow-based firm says business in England and Wales accounts for 74% of its total sales after ASDA and Morrisons decided not to renew their contracts. In March, following the loss of the ASDA contract, the company closed a distribution depot in Edinburgh with 44 redundancies, though no drivers' jobs were lost.

"We have made no decisions over whether any of our other depots will have to close following the end of the Morrisons contract in October this year," the spokesperson adds. "We may have to redistribute given the heavier weighting of business we now have in England and Wales."

Wisemans has already started work on a new depot in Raunds, near Northampton, which will be operational by November.

A new dairy is expected to open in the south-west of England towards the end of next year. Robert Wiseman has 13 depots and five dairies in the UK which employ 3,000 staff.
