• Three of the four new region. al directors at the Road Haulage Association have now been appointed.
Eastern district manager Chris Wright takes over the enlarged Southern and Eastern region. Midlands district manager Michael Farmer gets the Midlands and Western region. And North-East district manager Geoff Dunning becomes northern director.
The job of director for Scotland and Northern Ireland will be advertised soon; district manager Torn Brattin retires in September.
Regional offices are to close at Famworth in the North-West, Tipton in the Midlands and Addlestone in the South. Redundancies are expected.
