Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• About 2,000 White Arrow Express drivers are to vote unofficially on whether they would strike to persuade their employer to give them a "substantial" pay increase this year.

The poll comes after the van and truck drivers rejected the Great Universal Stores subsidiary's offer in April for a 1.5'. increase on basic pay, plus a 1.75% increase on profit related pay. This rejection was made despite a recommendation to accept the deal by the Transport & General Workers Union.

The TGWU wants to evaluate how far its members would go before it launches a timeconsuming legal ballot.

The results of the unofficial ballot will be counted on Wednesday 8 June.
