• NFC's BRS began a three-year £1.7m exhaust distribution contract with Staffordshire-based manufacturer Tuberex this week.
Ten vehicles including eight units with trailers are involved in the vehicle-plus-driver contract.
Six vehicles operating From the Tuberex factory at Hixton will cover the north of England and Scotland, while four others will cover the south and west using BRS sites at Avonmouth, Watford and Basingstoke as satellite storage depots. The bulk of the distribution will be handled using eight units and trailers.
All Tuberex products were previously distributed From Hixton using its own fleet. The latest move will ensure reliable delivery times For customers, says the company.
