Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MIOR SOME time the situation as re gards the provision of spare parts for Tyler engines has been somewhat unsatisfactory, but, fortunately, order once more reigns as Tylor's (J.B.4), Ltd., have taken over the existing stocks of spares from the original makers and are adding to these to bring them up to a satisfactory minimum, the new parts being either constructed in the works of the company at 134, King Street, Hammersmith, London, W.67 or obtained from associated companies in large quantities at competitive prices, thus allowing for sale at much better prices than could be obtained by the man in a small way of business ordering parts singly.

There are some 600 parts in the J.B.4 Tylor engine and every one of these is now in stock in considerable quantity. The stock is valued at between £25,000 and £30,000, but this is not excessive when it is taken into account that there are some 35,000 of the J.B.4-type engines in service.

Further to assist users and to give more satisfactory service, the company stock four spare engines which will be let out on loan at a nominal charge to users who send in their engines for overhaul or repair. Of the four, two are suitable for the A.E.C. chassis and two for the Karrier, so that the needs of users of both types of power unit eau be met without difficulty.

We were afforded an opportunity recently for examining the stores, and although the company have only been in Tiers of J.B.4 pistons which will give a good impression of the huge stocks held.

• -occupation of their present premises for a matter of a few weeks, everything was being put in ship-shape order and so arranged that even the smallest Part can be obtained at a moment's notice.

While at the works we took the opportunity of looking over a number of Tylor engines which were undergoing overhaul for some of the biggest users, and we were impressed by the thoroughness with which the work was being carried out, the finished engines being turned out almost equal to new.

The illustrations will convey a good idea of the work and stoek.
