Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With reference to the article (CM February 13) regarding Conoco Ltd and safe filling and safe stopping.

My congratulations to Don Booth for his excellent report. For years recovery and salvage units, like ourselves have been looking forward to the day when a company would give us a hint of what is. carried in their tankers. For years we have taken our lives in our hands because tanker owners, drivers and managers were of little use in an emergency when a tanker rolls over. But I know that Conoco Ltd have recently spent a lot of money and time in training their managers and drivers in the most modern technique M salvage and recovery, using air cushions and wreckers and in addition the need for a representative from the company at the scene of the accident.

Worn or incorrectly fitted rubbers on lids are without doubt our biggest hazard on a petrol tanker when turned over. The use of petrol-driven pumps for the removal of petrol from an overturned tanker is ill advised, purely from the type of ignition.

I ask only one more thing please publish the Hazchem scheme they use, it is not enough for the polka and firemen to know. We have to take the risks.
