• An order for Eagle 220 mkII engines worth over £280,003 has been placed with the Oil Engine Division of Rolls-Royce at Shrewsbury by Seddon Motors Ltd.
The future expansion and growth of the Oil Engine Division is to be centred on the Eagle diesel and it is forecast that production will more than double in the next five years.
From April 24 the oil engine and car companies are to be combined in a new company, Rolls-Royce Motors Ltd, under the chairmanship of Dr F. Llewellyn Smith.
