Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Teesside Corporation Transport has placed a contract with Daimler Transport Vehicles Ltd for the supply of 19 Fleetline bus chassis at a total cost of £105,890, for delivery in 1973. Mr W. C. Wilson, the department's transport manager, claimed that the cost represented an increase of £587 per chassis on current deliveries.

Teesside has also accepted the tender of Northern Counties Motor and Engineering Co Ltd, Wigan, for the supply of bus bodies at a cost of £6625 each.

Meanwhile, the transport committee has decided that nine buses out of a current order for 19 to be delivered in August should be fitted with fully automatic transmission. After a trial period the committee will decide whether this should become a standard requirement.
