which last week made representations on disposal to the British Transport Commission was received by Sir Brian Robertson, Lord Rusholme and Maj.-Gen. G. N. Russell. The Association's delegates were Mr. Bernard Winterbottom, national chairman, Mr. I. Barrie, Mr. C. W. H. Sparrow, Mr. J. H. Male, Mr. R. Cl. Crowther and Mr. R. Morton Mitchell.
As reported last week, the deputation pressed for the acceptance by the Commission of the highest of any three tenders submitted for a transport unit. A similar case had already been made to the Road Haulage Disposal Board.
