Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MHE Road Haulage Central Wages I Board has placed on record its view that the following arrangements with regard to the payment of subsistence allowances should apply in the case of a road haulage worker who is temporarily transferred away from his normal home depot and stationecte in another locality (beyond reasonable daily travelling distance from his home) for more than one week (A) In respect of the first week he shall be paid in accordance with the

provision of Paragraph I (" Subsistence ") of Notice R.H.12.

(B) In respect of the second and subsequent weeks, he shall be paid a weekly subsistence allowance of 42s. (i.e., 6s, per day).

(C), If a worker already on temporary transfer be temporarily transferred to another new station (beyond reasonable daily travelling distance from home) he shall in respect of the first week be paid • in accordance with A, and in respect of the second and subsequent weeks in accordance with B.

(D) For any period" of rest occurring away from the new station and from

his home, he shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 11 of the Notice R.11.12 and in respect of any. day for which payment is Made

to the worker under the provisions of that paragraph, the ssubsistence allowance of 6s. per day as specified in B shall be reduced to 4s. per day.

(E) The foregoing arrangements shall be without prejudice to agreements made, or that may be made, for the payment Of more favourable rates of subsistence.

(F) The worker shall be entitled ...tO the rates of wages appropriate to the locality in which his • normal home depot is situated, to the new locality to which he has been stationed, or in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph II (" Vehicles Loaded or Unloaded in Higher Graded Places ") of Notice R.H.12, whichever is most favourable to the worker.
