• Wincanton Logistics is refusing to recognise the Transport and General Workers Union at its Corby site, despite finally agreeing to recognition at the massive Wellingborough site it runs for Kwik Save.
The row at Corby centres on the transfer of TGWU members from Exel Logistics to Wincanton on a Pedigree Petfoods contract. The staff pay their union subscriptions by direct debit so they are still members. Wincanton is understood to be refusing recognition on the grounds of customer sensitivity".
