REMANUFACTURED UNITS

Remanufactured units are thoroughly tested after inspection. Engines undergo elaborate bench tests, and no factor that influences engine performance is ignored. Ambient pressure and temperature, cooling water temperature and lubricating oil temperature and pressure are constantly recorded. No engine is passed out until the power delivered is equal to a new engine of similar type. An example of an engine test schedule is given below. Engines are motored for fifteen minutes and then run under gradually increasing load conditions for the following periods:
