MORE A.E.C.s FOR B.R.S. : British Road Services has placed orders with A.E.C. Ltd. for 24 Mandator and 14 Mercury tractive units, bringing the total number of A.E.C. vehicles ordered so far this year to 374 machines. All except 10 of this total are to be tractive units.
SOME MUNICIPAL ORDERS FOR DENNIS: Amongst orders recently received by Dennis Bros. Ltd. from local authorities are orders for DennisNohn.ston suction road sweepers for Peterborough and Sheffield, 800-gal. gully and cesspool emptying machines for Stoke-on-Trent, Denbigh and Barnsley, a 1,500-gal. cesspool emptier for Chichester, mod Paxit IL4 refuse collectors for Eyeshani, Barnet, Wath-unon-Dearne and BiggleSWade.
MORE RENOWNS FOR OXFORD: City of Oxford Motor Services Ltd. has placed arepeat order for nine A.E.C. Renown double-deck buses to be fitted with 65-seat Park Royal bodies.
SCAMMELL TRAILERS. FOR CRISPS: Scarnmeil Lorries Ltd. is 'supplying 27 fifthwheel serni-tmilerS to the Golden Wonder Crisp Co. Ltd. The semi-trallers are being fitted with special bodywork by Marshall of Cambridge Ltd., and will be operated in conjunction with Austin 15-ton tractive units.
DUMP TRUCKS FOR ANTWERP: Scammell Lorries Ltd. has received an order from Leyland Belgium for live 6 x 4 Himalayan dump trucks to be operated by the consortium engaged on the Scheldt River Project.
MORE EXTENDIBLES FOR GRANTHAM: Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd. has supplied two more 16-tun extendible se/titrailers to Grantham Road Services Ltd.
