Automatic Level Crossings: Level crossing hale-barriers of a new standard design, operated . automatically by approaching trains, are being instailed by British Railways in July at 11 leYel crossings in various parts of the country_ Four similar barriers are already in use and many more are 'tofollow. Flashing red lights and bells will warn road users when trains are _approaching.
