BECAUSE they considered that confusion might arise amongst passengers if Birmingham Corporation were authorized to operate a service to Birmingham Airport for Midland Air Tour Operators Ltd. from the same picking-up point as Sealandair Coaching Ltd., the West Midland Traffic Commissioners last week refused a variation application by the Corporation and revoked a dispensation to operate from the point --Colmore Row, Birmingham.
c12 "This means the Corporation will have to revert to the original starting point at Easy Row. Birmingham", the Commissioners said in their decision, but there was nothing to prevent an application to vary this if it proved to be unsuitable, they added.
A second application by the Corporation, setting out the days on which the facility for M.A.T.O. Ltd. might be operated between May 25 and September 30, was granted.
